Lower-Face Anti-Wrinkle Treatment in Beaconsfield

FROM £255

£320 (With Masseter)

The muscles around your mouth, chin and jawline all work together, which is why lower-face treatment needs to be carefully personalised. We may consider it for concerns such as downturned mouth corners, chin dimpling or downward muscular pull. We’ll assess your face at rest and while moving before creating a treatment plan.

Appointments are available at our Beaconsfield clinic, with selected availability in Holmer Green, near High Wycombe.

What is lower-face treatment?

Lower-face anti-wrinkle is one of our most popular anti-wrinkle treatments used to temporarily reduces selected muscle movement around the mouth, chin and jawline. Please note, this treatment doesn’t include the masseter muscle treatment.

Lower-face treatment is often considered by clients noticing early signs of ageing around the mouth, chin and jawline, although the right approach will depend on what is causing the change.

Rather than treating one standard area, we’ll look at how several muscles interact and affect your resting expression. Depending on your concerns, treatment may focus on the muscles that pull down the corners of your mouth, contribute to chin dimpling or affect the appearance of your jawline.

Muscle movement is only one part of facial ageing. Skin laxity, volume loss, bone structure and fat distribution can also affect the lower face, so this treatment won’t be the right answer for every concern.

What can lower-face anti-wrinkle help with?

We may consider lower-face treatment for: • Downturned corners of the mouth • A sad or unhappy-looking resting expression • Dimpling or an orange-peel texture across the chin • Downward muscular pull around the jawline • Selected cases of mild jowling influenced by muscle movement • Improving balance between the mouth, chin and jawline Treatment cannot remove loose skin, replace lost facial volume or completely correct jowls caused by structural ageing.

Common questions about this treatment

What does lower-face anti-wrinkle injections do?

It temporarily adjusts selected muscle movement around the mouth, chin or jawline. Depending on your treatment plan, this may soften a downturned expression, reduce chin dimpling or lessen downward muscular pull.

Which areas can be included in lower-face treatment?

Possible areas include the muscles affecting the mouth corners, chin, lip area, jawline or upper neck. This doesn’t mean we’ll treat every area. We’ll create a plan based on your facial movement and the concerns you would like us to assess. Please note, the masseter muscle is not included in this treatment.

Can lower-face anti-wrinkle get rid of jowls?

It may soften mild jowling when downward muscle movement is contributing to its appearance. However, jowls are often influenced by loose skin, volume loss and structural changes. This treatment cannot remove excess skin or recreate the result of a lifting procedure.

How do we plan lower-face treatment at our Beaconsfield clinic?

We’ll examine your face at rest and while you smile, speak and move your mouth. This helps us understand whether muscle activity, skin laxity, volume loss or a combination of factors is responsible for your concern.

What are the risks of treating the lower face?

The muscles in this area help you smile, speak, eat and drink. Possible unwanted effects include asymmetry, a change in your smile or temporary weakness around part of the mouth. We take a careful and conservative approach to lower-face treatment.
