SOFTEN MOUTH-TO-CHIN LINES & FOLDS
£200 PER ML
Marionette line filler in Beaconsfield, designed to soften downward lines from the corners of the mouth and create a smoother, more supported lower-face appearance. These lines can sometimes make the mouth look downturned or leave the face appearing tired, sad or heavier than you feel.
Their medical name is melomental folds, although they are more commonly called marionette lines because they resemble the lines around the mouth of a traditional string puppet.
At Sculpt by Kelly Swann, treatment is carefully planned around the cause and depth of your lines rather than simply placing filler directly into every visible crease. Appointments are available at our Beaconsfield clinic, with selected availability in Holmer Green, near High Wycombe.

As the face ages, collagen and elastin levels reduce, skin becomes less resilient and the tissues of the face gradually lose support. Changes in facial volume, repeated mouth movement, sun exposure, genetics and lifestyle factors can also influence how early the marionette lines appear and how deep they become.

• A NOTE FORM KELLY
Sometimes you may think you need marionette line filler but the deepening here may actually be caused by something else, so I'll always assess the cheeks, mouth corners, chin, jawline and surrounding tissue before recommending where filler should be placed. I recommend a consultation if considering mouth to chin line filler.
Where treatment is suitable, marionette line filler may help to:
Filler will usually soften rather than completely erase the lines. Deeper folds caused by significant skin laxity or tissue descent may require a wider treatment plan, and filler cannot reproduce the effect of surgical lifting.
Marionette line filler is generally most appropriate for mild-to-moderate lines and may look unnatural when too much product is used in an unsuitable area.
Your appointment begins with a detailed consultation to assess the creases around your mouth, lower-face structure, skin quality and the support provided by your cheeks and chin.
We'll discuss what is causing the lines and whether the best approach is direct treatment, support elsewhere in the face or a combination of carefully selected areas.

At Sculpt, our approach is calm, honest and personalised. She will take time to assess your face, listen to your concerns and explain whether marionette line filler is right for you.

The amount, depth and position of the filler will be tailored to your facial anatomy and the cause of your marionette lines.
With this treatment, we'll always assess the cheeks, mouth corners, chin and jawline rather than automatically filling the visible crease, as sometimes another area is the cause of the concern.
Marionette line filler at Sculpt by Kelly Swann costs £200 per ml. If you have really deep lines and need more product, a dermal filler package may be most effective. Book for 1ml, and we will discuss the options with you on the day to make sure you're getting the most suitable and best value treatment. We'll always confirm the recommended treatment and price before proceeding.
Marionette lines are the vertical creases that run from the corners of the mouth down towards the chin. They are also known as melomental folds and can range from faint lines to deeper folds.
No. Smile lines, also called nasolabial folds, run from the sides of the nose towards the corners of the mouth. Marionette lines begin at the mouth corners and extend downwards towards the chin
They commonly become more noticeable as collagen and elastin reduce, skin loses support and facial tissues change with age.
Yes, when an appropriate amount is placed according to your facial anatomy. The aim should be to soften the crease and support the lower face rather than completely fill every line or remove all natural movement.
Complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Mild-to-moderate lines may soften considerably, while deeper folds or significant skin laxity may remain visible after treatment. Trying to completely erase a deep crease using too much filler could create an unnatural or heavy result.
It may provide subtle support around the corners of the mouth where volume loss contributes to a downturned appearance. However, downturned corners can also be influenced by muscle activity or wider lower-face changes. Kelly will assess the cause before recommending treatment. It may be that botox is a more suitable treatment.
It may help where the appearance is caused by volume loss, shadowing or reduced structural support. The treatment cannot permanently reposition the facial tissues, but it may create a softer and more balanced appearance.
Not always. Sometimes the lines become more visible because support has reduced elsewhere in the face. We may recommend treating the cheeks, mouth corners, chin or pre-jowl area instead of—or alongside—direct line treatment.
There is no standard amount suitable for everyone. The quantity will depend on the depth of the lines, your facial structure and whether additional support is required around the mouth, chin or lower face.
Most clients require one initial treatment session. The area should then be allowed to settle before the result is reviewed. An additional session may occasionally be recommended for deeper lines or where a staged approach would produce a more natural result.
Dermal filler is temporary. Longevity depends on the filler used, placement, amount, movement around the mouth, metabolism and individual response. Maintenance treatment may be recommended once the result begins to reduce.
