Under-eye assessment
A jelly roll is the small bulge that can appear directly beneath the lower eyelashes when you smile or squint. Because this is such a delicate area, we’ll carefully assess your lower eyelids and facial movement before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.
Appointments are available at our Beaconsfield clinic, with selected availability in Holmer Green, near High Wycombe.

Under-eye assessment
What is under-eye jelly roll treatment?
The is the small ridge or bulge that appears immediately beneath the lower eyelashes when the muscle around the eye contracts. It’s different from under-eye bags, tear trough hollows, fluid retention or loose skin.
The same product used in anti-wrinkle treatments temporarily reduce selected muscle movement and soften the jelly roll when you smile.
The same muscle also supports normal lower-eyelid movement and expression, so treatment must be planned very carefully. We’ll first establish whether the concern is genuinely muscular or whether another under-eye treatment would make more sense.
If you’re looking at the entire eye area you may also be interested in our non-surgical brow lift treatment.
What can under-eye jelly roll treatment help with?

If the bulge is caused by muscle movement, carefully planned prescription treatment may temporarily soften it. Under-eye fullness can have several other causes, so we’ll assess the area before recommending treatment.
No. Lower-eyelid laxity, dry eyes, existing under-eye bags and individual muscle function can all affect suitability. In some people, treating the muscle could make another under-eye concern more noticeable.
Results are temporary and vary from person to person. Because the muscles around the eyes are highly active, the effect may wear off sooner than treatment in some other areas.
Possible unwanted effects include asymmetry, changes to your smile, lower-eyelid weakness or making existing under-eye fullness more noticeable. Careful assessment is especially important when treating close to the eyes.
We offer under-eye consultations at Sculpt by Kelly Swann inside Revive on Penn Road, Beaconsfield. We’ll examine the area while your face is resting and moving to distinguish a muscular jelly roll from bags, hollows or skin laxity.
